Michael Berman
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Berman is a medical device entrepreneur working with a select group of high potential development and early commercial stage companies. From 1995-2000 Mr. Berman was President of Boston Scientific/Scimed where he expanded the company’s leadership in the interventional cardiology market. Under his leadership, the company increased worldwide sales from $300 million to $1.5 billion, fully integrated four acquired interventional cardiology businesses, invested more than $250 million in research and technology, and introduced more than 40 new products. As President of Scimed, Mr. Berman provided leadership and management for more than 4000 employees in four locations.

Neil Cohen
Mr. Cohen is a general partner of Israel Seed Partners, a leading Israeli venture capital firm which he co-founded in 1994 and where he leads the life sciences practice. Since founding Israel Seed, Mr. Cohen has led investments in and served on the boards of Compugen, DenX, Topspin Medical, Mobile Access Networks and Cyota Inc. Previously, Mr. Cohen was VP of Sales and Marketing at Biodar, a specialty chemicals and drug delivery company now a division of Makhteshim-Agan, and before that was part of the bioscience advisory group at NM Rothschild and Sons in London and Princeton. Mr. Cohen holds an MA with first class honors from Oxford University.

Yoel Geva
Mr. Geva is the founder and CEO of the largest private school in Israel, preparing 16, 000 students a year through courses, books, software, and online services for the Israeli matriculation exams (equivalent to high school equivalency exams in the U.S.). The one-year program enables students to improve their exam scores and obtain a matriculation certificate required for their application to colleges. After establishing his dominance in the matriculation exam preparation market, Mr. Geva founded another school to train students for the Psychometric Entrance Test, an Israeli inter-university test for undergraduate programs (equivalent to the U.S. SAT exam).

Brian Chee
Mr. Chee is a general partner of Polaris Venture Partners, a $3B partnership based in Waltham, MA and Seattle, WA. Brian joined Polaris in 1996 and focuses on investments in life science technology, healthcare, and consumer products. Brian is a decorated veteran, having served as Captain in the US Army Corps of Engineers. As platoon leader during the Gulf War, Brian was awarded the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal with Valor for successfully completing missions while encountering enemy fire on the front lines. He also worked at Baxter International, a global leader delivering medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology to healthcare professionals. In addition to UltraShape, Brian represents Polaris on the boards of Archus Orthopedics, Asthmatx, Botanical Laboratories, Free & Clear, and Transoma Medical. Brian holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BS in engineering and economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Betsy S. Atkins
Ms. Atkins is the CEO of Baja LLC, an independent venture capital firm focused on the technology and life sciences industry since 1994. Prior to 1994 Ms. Atkins was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NCI, Inc. a Functional Food/Neutraceutical company from 1991 through 1993. Ms. Atkins was a co-founder of Ascend Communications, Inc. in 1989, a member of their Board of Directors, and served as its Global Market, Sales, and International Executive Vice President prior to its acquisition by Lucent Technologies in 1999. Ms. Atkins also serves on the Boards of Directors of Polycom, Inc., Reynolds American Inc., and SunPower Corporation. Ms. Atkins publishes and keynote speaks on corporate board governance best practices for the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). Ms. Atkins was nominated by the NACD as Director of the Year. Ms. Atkins was a Presidential-Appointee to the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation Advisory Committee, and is a Governor-Appointed member of the Florida International University Board of Trustees.

Ami Glicksman, M.D.
Co-Founder of UltraShape
Dr. Glicksman is the President and Co-Founder of UltraShape since its inception in 2000. Dr. Glicksman has over 10 years of experience in the field of aesthetic treatments. He is a former senior plastic surgeon and director of the Burn Unit Department of Plastic Surgery at Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Aviv, Israel and an Israeli board certified plastic surgeon. Between 2000 and 2003, Dr. Glicksman served as the secretary of the Israeli Society of Plastic surgery. Dr. Glicksman holds an M.D. from Ben Gurion University, Israel. Prior to medical school, Dr. Glicksman served six years in the Israeli Defense Forces as the Chief Programmer of the electronic corps at the Army’s Computer Center.

Yoram Eshel, Ph.D., MBA
Co-Founder of UltraShape
Dr. Eshel has served as CEO and Co-Founder of UltraShape since its establishment in 2000. Dr. Eshel has over ten years of senior management experience in the field of therapeutic ultrasound. Prior to joining UltraShape, Dr. Eshel served as director of R&D of Angiosonics Inc., a company specializing in both invasive and non-invasive therapeutic ultrasound devices. Previously, he spent 2 years as the general manger of November Technologies, which developed non-invasive ultrasonic thrombolysis technology. Dr. Eshel holds a Ph.D. in Medical Physics and an MBA from Tel-Aviv University.

Rodger Stewart, MSc
President and Chief Executive Officer of UltraShape Ltd.
Rodger Stewart has served as President and CEO of UltraShape Inc since January 15, 2007. He brings to UltraShape 29 years experience in the medical device industry since starting with COBE Cardiovascular, Inc. in 1977. He held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, marketing, sales and business development. In his last position, Mr. Stewart served as President, North America Region, of Sorin Group SpA, a $1B world leader in cardiac surgery and an innovator in cardiac rhythm management, interventional cardiology and chronic kidney disease. Previous to that, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of COBE Cardiovascular, Inc. with over $180M in worldwide sales in cardiopulmonary and blood management, and as Chief Executive Officer of Carbomedics with over $80M in worldwide sales of heart valves and valve repair products.
