Surgeon’s experience: How long has the surgeon been practicing and how many procedures have he/she performed?
Dr. Sleightholm has been dedicated to plastic and cosmetic surgery for the past 20 plus years, during which time he has successfully performed over 200 procedures annually.

Member of Professional Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Associations: The surgeon should be a member of two professional organizations – The Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons (CSPS) and The Canadian Society of Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgeons (CSAPS) – the only recognized Canadian Professional bodies specializing in plastic and cosmetic surgery.
The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certify members of CSPS and CSAPS in plastic surgery. CSAPS has established a strict set of criteria to ensure experience and proficiency in cosmetic surgery, so only surgeons who meet specified professional and ethical standards are offered membership with CSAPS.
Dr. Sleightholm is a member in good standing of the following:
  • Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons (CSPS)
  • Canadian Society of Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgeons (CSPS). In addition, Dr. Sleightholm is a member of the;

Board Certification- FRCSC: FRCSC stands for Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. To be certified in Plastic Surgery, doctors do a five-year residency program after receiving their Medical Degree. The doctor has to have the exact FRCSC designation to be certified as a surgeon.
Dr. Sleightholm completed his medical degree at The University of Western Ontario in 1979. After completing his Residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto, he received a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1986. Dr. Sleightholm is a board certified Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).

Dr. Sleightholm specializes in the following procedures; breast augmentation and lift, liposuction, tummy tuck, face and eyebrow lifts, nose reshaping and skin laser procedures.
