Radio Frequency Accessory to Contour I™ ver3 will Enable Multi-modal Treatment in a Single Session
Yokneam, Israel, May 4, 2010 – UltraShape Ltd. announced today that it has received European regulatory approval (CE marking) to market its new RFVac™ accessory for its Contour I ver3 system. The UltraShape® Contour I system is a non-invasive body contouring treatment that employs focused ultrasound to effectively and safely reduce unsightly fat deposits in men and women. It is the only non-thermal ultrasound device that selectively targets and disrupt fat cells, leaving critical surrounding structures such as skin, blood vessels, nerves and connecting tissues unharmed. The UltraShape treatment is non-invasive, and requires no down-time or recovery period after treatment. In January 2010, UltraShape launched Contour I™ ver3, a flexible multi-application platform for delivering UltraShape treatments. The RFVac is an accessory introduced for that platform. Combining radio frequency and vacuum capabilities, RFVac prepares the tissue before the ultrasound treatment and accelerates the clearance of fat following the treatment, all in a single session. Often, body contouring treatments involve the application of a combination of technologies from different systems, requiring the treating physician to purchase additional equipment and to change machines in the middle of a session.
