Our Ultrasound Technology
When alternating electric voltage is applied to the coated layer, an alternating electric field is created within the ceramics. The alternating electric field creates alterations in the thickness of the ceramics which create pressure waves in the surrounding mediums (oil, water, polyurethane etc.)

Ultrasound Technologies Comparison
Focused (UltraShape)
Non-Focused (others)
- Energy concentrated in targeted focus
- Reverse energy gradient leads to highest energy intensity being at a distance from the transducer
- Highest intensity is at contact site
- Intensity decreases with distance
Pulse Ultrasound Mode (UltraShape®)
Continuous Mode (HIFU)
- Cessation of energy between pulses allows heat dissipation
- Negligible temperature increase
- < 0.5° C increase in temperature within focal volume
- Fat cell destruction by cavitation
- Energy is delivered more quickly than it can dissipate
- Significant temperature increase
- >70° C increase in temperature within focal volume
- Cell death by thermal necrosis
