Assaf Eyal
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Eyal joined UltraShape in 2008. He has 20 years of expertise in sales, marketing, research & development, and customer service. Additionally, having lived many years in the U.S., Europe and the Far East, he has firsthand experience in international markets and cultures. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Eyal served as Executive Vice President at NUR Macroprinters, a manufacturer of super wide format digital printers and inks that was successfully sold to HP. Prior to NUR, Assaf served in various executive positions at Orbotech Ltd ( NASDAQ:ORBK) as Co-President of the Display Division and Corporate VP, a division that grew under his leadership to revenues of $150 million. He holds a B.Sc in Engineering and M.Sc in Management.
Zvi Ben David, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ben David joined UltraShape as CFO in 2005. Mr. Ben David has over 20 years’ experience in corporate and international financial management. Prior to joining UltraShape Mr. Ben David served as the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Given Imaging, and was a director in the company for two years. Before joining Given Imaging in 2000, Mr. Ben David was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Rafael Development Corporation (RDC). Previously, Mr. Ben David has held senior positions at Electrochemical Industries (Frutarom) Ltd., an Israeli company that produces petrochemical products. Mr. Ben David is a certified public accountant in Israel and holds a B.A. in economics and accounting from the University of Haifa.
Avi Shalgi
Vice President of Research & Development
Mr. Avi Shalgi joined UltraShape in August 2006 and brings with him over 13 years of experience in research & development. Prior to joining Ultrashape, Mr. Shalgi served as a program director at Biosense Webster Ltd. ,a Johnson & Johnson company, specializing in innovative medical devices. Mr. Shalgi was responsible for developing medical devices for minimally invasive procedures and managing various complex product development projects in collaboration with other global companies. Prior to Biosense Webster, Mr. Shalgi was a System Engineer and a Project Manager responsible for overseeing multidisciplinary projects & technologies involving large development groups. Mr. Shalgi holds an M.Sc. in Physics from the Weitzman Institute of Science.
Robert E. Gerberich
President of UltraShape North America
With over 16 years of successful sales and marketing experience in launching new aesthetic medical devices, creating new markets and developing and leading high performance sales organizations, Mr. Gerberich is now leading UltraShape United States operations. Prior to joining UltraShape, Mr. Gerberich served as the Vice President of Marketing and Sales and Vice President of Sales at Thermage Inc. Mr. Gerberich was responsible for launching a non-invasive tissue tightening technology and led the effort in building sales to $50 million. Prior to Thermage, he led the sales force at INAMED Aesthetics. Before Inamed, he was part of a core management team responsible for launching LySonix Inc. and its unique technology for ultrasonic assisted liposuction. Mr. Gerberich holds a B.S. in marketing from Illinois State University, IL.
Roni Zomber
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Roni Zomber joined UltraShape in August 2006, and brings with him over 20 years of experience in Operations Management. Prior to joining UltraShape, Mr. Zomber served as VP of Operations at Nur Macroprinters LTD., a company specializing in outboard digital printers and M-systems, a leader in the field of transforming raw flash into smart storage solutions. In addition, Mr. Zomber served as a Senior VP at Nice Systems LTD. Mr. Zomber holds a diploma in practical engineering from the institute for work productivity Tel Aviv, and a B.A. degree in business administration, from New England University, Henniker, New Hampshire, USA.
Ezra Katzen
General Counsel
Ezra Katzen joined UltraShape as its General Counsel in 2007. Previously, he served as General Counsel to Shopping.com (now a unit of Ebay, Inc.) from its founding in 1998 through its successful Nasdaq IPO in 2004. He also has many years of experience as a partner in leading Tel Aviv law firms, having specialized in corporate law, corporate finance and intellectual property matters for technology ventures. Previously, he practiced law in New York for nine years.
Mr. Katzen has served as a member of the board of directors of several technology companies and has written and lectured on technology law. Mr. Katzen is a 1980 graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and is a member of the bars of Israel and New York.
Kris Foss
Vice President Regulatory and Clinical
Ms. Foss joined the company as Vice President Regulatory and Clinical in January, 2007. Ms. Foss previously served as Vice President Clinical and Regulatory Affairs at Mentor Corporation, where she successfully secured PMA approval for the company’s silicone gel-filled breast implants, one of the most important regulatory milestones in Mentor’s history in the aesthetics industry. Previous to that, Ms. Foss served at several leading medical device and pharmaceutical companies in the same position, successfully attaining regulatory approvals and promoting the companies' clinical programs. Ms. Foss received her BA from Northwestern University.
